I started Atlantic Kitchen in 2012 after discovering seaweed thanks to my friend Dawn Hourigan. We couldn't believe this incredible superfood wasn't more widely known, and so set out to change that.
We knew that the best tastes of nature are organic and wild, and that the most wonderfully wild tastes of all can be found in the pure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. We started with a team of seaweed harvesters in Ireland, and now source from Ireland, Scotland, France and Spain, depending on the harvest.
Seaweed is a wonderfully versatile savoury ingredient that also happens to be a naturally nourishing superfood packed with the vitamins and minerals we need to thrive.
It’s my belief that there’s a sea leaf out there to suit every taste and to fit every recipe, you just need to know where to look. Our range is the perfect starting point for falling in love with eating seaweed.
My favourites are toasted Dulse sprinkled over eggs, Sea Spaghetti with broccoli and lashings of olive oil and lemon and a simple Wakame salad of pumpkin seeds and a honey and apple cider vinegar dressing.
