Seaweed deserves the spotlight says The Sunday Times!4 November 2015
This Sunday, 1st November, The Dish which is the monthly food magazine with the Sunday Times published an in-depth article about seaweed and its’ benefits, how to eat seaweed and what to be careful of when eating brown seaweeds (eg kelp, such as we use in the stock for our Bowls). It acknowledged the growing trend and that seaweed ‘deserves its’ place in the spotlight. It tastes delicious, can be sourced locally and it’s rich in minerals and nutrients.”
Atlantic Kitchen is mentioned twice – “Meanwhile Ocado has seen sales of all seaweed food products grow 149% year on year, and Atlantic Kitchen, whose seaweed-based ready meals and packs of dried seaweeed are available from Ocado, Whole Foods and Planet Organic, has reported 1200% growth in the past 12 months.”
Also “We want seaweed to be celebrated as an ingredient”, says Ruth Dronfield, head of Atlantic Kitchen.”
